Buckcherry: : New Album 'CONFESSIONS' Enters Billboard Top 200 Album Chart at #20 With Over 18,000 Copies Sold

Buckcherry's new Confessions CD has debuted at #20 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart with 18,548 copies sold in its first week of release. The disc also enters both the Billboard Hard Music Album chart and Metal Album chart at #1, and was the best-selling new album of the week. In the digital music realm, Confessions maintained the #1 position on the iTunes Rock Album chart throughout release week. Confessions was released February 19, 2013, is Buckcherry's sixth studio album, and is their first U.S. release for Century Media Records.

Buckcherry's Josh Todd says, "Confessions is a very personal record, and one of our best -- and we want to thank all our loyal fans for going out and supporting rock n' roll!"

The songs on Confessions merge punk grit, gutter attitude, honest storytelling, and razor sharp hooks, while the lyrics are tied together by the underlying theme of the Seven Deadly Sins.

Buckcherry is currently on the road supporting Kid Rock as special guests on the Rebel Soul tour. To celebrate the release of their new album, the multi-platinum Los Angeles rock band--Josh Todd (vocals), Keith Nelson (guitar), Stevie D. (guitar), Jimmy Ashhurst (bass), Xavier Muriel (drums)--will headline three intimate hometown shows at The Viper Room in West Hollywood on March 7, 8 and 9, between legs of the Kid Rock tour.

Confessions' first single "Gluttony" continues to build at Active Rock radio, as is evident on the sales front, where the track had its biggest week to date moving 4,831 singles on iTunes. The provocative video for "Gluttony"--directed by Billy Jayne and filmed in a North Hollywood church--can be seen here.

Buckcherry continues to receive praise for Confessions. Here's a sample of recent media accolades:

"...Confessions is Buckcherry's strongest effort to date. Brutally honest, but also steeped in the kind of dirty and hooky riffy songwriting that has made the Los Angeles-based band a favorite among fans of old school hard rock." --Chris Epting, AOL Noisecreep.com, February 26, 2013

"Confessions will be recognized as one of the best records of the year..." --Chris Arnold, HardRockHaven.net, February 19, 2013

Buckcherry are one of the premier rock bands of the new millennium. They've sold more than three million records in America alone and tour virtually non-stop, playing with everyone from AC/DC to Avenged Sevenfold, touring sold-out arenas alongside Nickelback and KISS, and headlining festivals ranging from the punk rock Ink-N-Iron (also featuring the Misfits and Pennywise) to Sturgis.
Buckcherry: : New CD 'CONFESSIONS' Out Now First Single "Gluttony" is Impacting Active Rock Band to Play Three Los Angeles Hometown Shows March 7-9 at the Viper Room AOL's Noisecreep.com Premieres 'CONFESSIONS' Today

Buckcherry's new Confessions CD is available now via Century Media Records. Confessions is also streaming online today at AOL's Noisecreep.com. Check out the album premiere here.

To celebrate the release of their new album, the multi-platinum Los Angeles rock band--Josh Todd (vocals), Keith Nelson (guitar), Stevie D. (guitar), Jimmy Ashhurst (bass), Xavier Muriel (drums)--will headline three intimate hometown shows at The Viper Room in West Hollywood on March 7, 8 and 9. A limited number of tickets are still available at www.viperroom.com.

"The Viper Room is where it all began for us," says Josh Todd. "At one point when we would hit the stage in that small club, the crowd sounded like an arena. It was so explosive that we landed a record deal and now 15 years later we're coming back to do it all again."

Confessions is Buckcherry's sixth studio album and first U.S. release for Century Media Records. It was produced by Keith Nelson and Marti Frederiksen (Aerosmith, Ozzy Osbourne) and features eclectic CD artwork by graffiti artist Ewok. The songs on Confessions merge punk grit, gutter attitude, honest storytelling, and razor sharp hooks, while the lyrics are tied together by the underlying theme of the Seven Deadly Sins.

In a recent interview with Loudwire.com, Josh Todd elaborated on the album's subject matter. Josh explained, "There was a point in my life when I was a youth when I lost a family member and I acted out in my grieving process through the deadly sins, so that's kind of what the story's about on the record. I think the seven sins are timeless and that everybody struggles with them in their daily lives all the time."

The album's first single "Gluttony" is impacting Active Rock in the U.S. and Top 5 at Active Rock in Canada. The provocative video for "Gluttony" --directed by Billy Jayne and filmed in a North Hollywood church--can be seen here.

A two-disc deluxe version of the Confessions CD is also available and features the bonus tracks "Give 'Em What They Want" and "When The Fire Starts." In addition, a bonus DVD includes the "Gluttony" music video and lyric video, behind the scenes footage and band interviews from the set of the "Gluttony" video shoot, and "The Story Behind Confessions" featurette. Confessions will also be released on vinyl in April.

The track listing for Confessions is as follows:
Gluttony
Wrath
Nothing Left But Tears
The Truth
Greed
Water
Seven Ways To Die
Air
Sloth
Pride
Envy
Lust
Dreamin' Of You

Buckcherry is currently on the road supporting Kid Rock as special guests on the Rebel Soul tour through April 6, with additional worldwide tour plans to be announced soon.

Buckcherry is receiving early praise from the media for both Confessions and their live show. In a review of the band's February 2 performance in Kansas City, Bill Brownlee of the Kansas City Star praised the "adrenaline-fueled buzz-saw voice of charismatic front man Josh Todd (February 3, 2013)."

Here's some additional early critical praise:

"their best album yet" --Dom Lawson, The Guardian (London), February 14, 2013

"The church of 21st century rock 'n' roll gets its new Bible with Buckcherry's utterly divine Confessions...'Gluttony' rages with insatiable energy and an irresistible refrain from vocalist Josh Todd. Meanwhile, 'Wrath' busts teeth with bombastic, epic riffage from Keith Nelson and Stevie D. The big rhythmic shake from bassist Jimmy 'Two Fingers' Ashhurst and drummer Xavier Muriel adds considerable heft to the transfixing ballad 'The Truth'...Ultimately, Buckcherry have reached another level with Confessions. It's a landmark for them and one of the year's best rock albums." --Rick Florino, ArtistDirect.com, February 15, 2013

"Although the songs can stand on their own without the seven sins thread connecting them, a straight-through listen of the 13 tracks is an emotional, melodic ride; as cutting as it is tender. On the album's second track, 'Wrath,' the band belts out one of the funkiest rock riffs this side of Zeppelin's 'Black Dog'...It's quintessential Buckcherry: fiery lyrics from an emotion-ravaged gut with a killer groove...The band might be best known for its edgy rock anthems ('Crazy Bitch,' 'Lit Up'), but as the Confessions album conveys, Buckcherry is about dynamics. 'The Truth' is a rock ballad that might top the success of its 2007 radio hit, 'Sorry.'... The song sequence of 'Air,' 'Sloth,' 'Pride,' 'Envy' showcases the band's songwriting depth with grand choruses and keen composition." --Chris Bradshaw, Naples Daily News, February 14, 2013

Buckcherry: : Premiere Video for "Gluttony" January 16 on AOL MUSIC and AOL's Noisecreep.com Band Confirmed for Second Leg of Kid Rock's Rebel Soul Tour 'Confessions' CD Out February 19 via Century Media Records

Buckcherry will premiere the provocative video for "Gluttony" -- the first single from their new Confessions album -- today (January 16) exclusively at AOL Music and AOL's Noisecreep.com. The daring clip was directed by Billy Jayne and features the band performing the song in a church filled with people indulging in all types of vices, while the video's protagonist struggles to overcome his own gluttony.

The multi-platinum Los Angeles rock band will release Confessions February 19, 2013 via Century Media Records and the "Gluttony" single is available for purchase through iTunes now.

Buckcherry vocalist Josh Todd explains the inspiration for the "Gluttony" video: "The concept of the video is excess, consuming everything excessively, and moderation is not even in the equation. I'm very familiar with that, and a lot of guys in the band are familiar with that."

He continues: "Because the record is called Confessions, we filmed the video in a church, we got Jesus down there--which is killer--and we got a lot of our fans in it, which is amazing. They came out on their own time and really put in a lot of sweat equity, so thank you to them."

Guitarist Keith Nelson elaborates, "We worked with Billy Jayne, who hasn't done a lot of music videos. It was really refreshing to see his take on what we're doing because he totally gets the music, he's connecting with it, and he's taking it to a different place than a guy who does videos for a living. We got a guy who actually makes movies and TV shows to put his spin on it and it's been really positive."

"Gluttony" goes for adds at U.S. Rock radio today--with 15 stations already having added it early--and is already receiving early praise from the media. Rick Florino of ArtistDirect.com said the song "shines with the kind of skittering rock decadence the world could use a whole hell of a lot more of" (December 11, 2012).

Buckcherry is currently on the road headlining North American shows and will join Kid Rock as special guests on the upcoming Rebel Soul Tour beginning February 2 in Kansas City, MO. The first leg of the tour runs through March 2 and band has also been added to the second leg of dates for trek which run from March 18 in Sioux Falls, SD through April 6 in Saginaw, MI.

While on tour, Buckcherry is previewing songs from Confessions, the band's sixth studio album and first U.S. release for Century Media Records. Confessions merges punk grit, gutter attitude, honest storytelling, and razor sharp hooks. The lyrics are tied together by the underlying theme of the Seven Deadly Sins.

Buckcherry--Josh Todd (vocals), Keith Nelson (guitar), Stevie D. (guitar), Jimmy Ashhurst (bass), Xavier Muriel (drums)--are one of the premier rock bands of the new millennium, having sold more than three million records in America alone and touring virtually non-stop, playing with everyone from AC/DC to Avenged Sevenfold, touring sold-out arenas alongside Nickelback and KISS, and headlining festivals ranging from the punk rock Ink-N-Iron (also featuring the Misfits and Pennywise) to Sturgis. Radio staples "Lit Up," "Crazy Bitch" and "Sorry" have cemented the band as one of the most identifiable and sought-after bands on the radio and the live circuits.

Buckcherry just wrapped a string of UK dates and will headline North American shows in late December and January before joining Kid Rock as special guests on the upcoming "Rebel Soul" Tour beginning February 2 in Kansas City, MO. In addition, Buckcherry will co-headline Fremont Street Experience's Downtown Countdown New Year's Eve 2013 celebration in Las Vegas December 31.

While on tour, Buckcherry will preview new songs from Confessions, the band's sixth studio album and first U.S. release for Century Media Records. Confessions merges punk grit, gutter attitude, honest storytelling, and razor sharp hooks. The lyrics are tied together by the underlying theme of the Seven Deadly Sins.

Buckcherry continues to resonate because they're so unabashedly honest in their recordings and on stage. "It's a real rock 'n' roll band," says Nelson. "You get 100 percent of what we are and what we're about. We don't apologize for it."

Radio staples "Lit Up," "Crazy Bitch" and "Sorry" have cemented the band as one of the most identifiable and sought-after bands on the radio and the live circuits, and Confessions is primed to take the band to even greater heights.

Additional dates have been added to the band's run of headlining North American gigs. The current Buckcherry tour itinerary is as follows:

Buckcherry: : to Release "Confessions" in Early 2013 on Century Media Records

BUCKCHERRY are proud to announce that their next studio album, Confessions, will be their first domestic release with new label Century Media Records. The album is planned for an early 2013 release on Century Media in the United States and via Eleven Seven Music worldwide, with new tracks to be unveiled in the coming weeks.

"The time has come to finally announce the release of our sixth LP, Confessions," says Buckcherry frontman Josh Todd. "This is our coolest album yet and I think a lot of people will relate, if you love BC you are going to get a chance to be part of a great story - join the revolution and let's rock!"

Buckcherry are one of the premier rock bands of the new millennium, having sold more than three million records in America alone and touring virtually non-stop, playing with everyone from AC/DC to Slipknot, touring sold-out arenas alongside Nickelback and KISS, and headlining festivals ranging from the punk rock Ink-N-Iron (also featuring the Misfits and Pennywise) to Sturgis. Radio staples "Lit Up," "Crazy Bitch" and "Sorry" have cemented the band as one of the most identified and sought-after bands on radio and live circuits, and Confessions is primed to take the band to even greater heights.

"This is, by far, our most ambitious record," says guitarist Keith Nelson, who co-founded Buckcherry with Todd in 1995 after the duo met in a Los Angeles tattoo shop. "We are very proud of the work we've done and we are looking forward to presenting it to our fans."

Confessions is an album based on the seven deadly sins, and is part of a larger vision that includes a film written by Josh Todd, who based the album's lyrics on his childhood and transformation into adulthood.

Buckcherry remain on the road throughout 2012, appearing in Japan later this month and returning to the United Kingdom Nov. 20 - Dec. 10.
